ii2P is well aware that end users want a highly secure, yet convenient mechanism to retrieve their access credentials for each application that they use; and ii2P has designed a system that is totally secure and yet is unequivocally convenient. ![]() The solution consists of a smart chip in a card or USB token format, and with its inherent, anti-tampering security mechanisms, it securely stores and safeguards a user’s credentials to various applications, including intranet, Internet and desktop. The ii2P approach is to use a highly secure microprocessor chip that stores, safeguards and retrieves each set of credentials (e.g., ID and password) used, and which recognizes an application’s or URL’s request for credentials, and quickly and automatically populates the appropriate set. A user can choose from several form factors from a card badge to a USB-based token. By their nature, smart microchips are mobile and highly secure. As an added feature, the smart chip provides access to a PC’s Windows logon, and it will support self service PIN recovery, as needed. The MyLOK® password system – is a turnkey, microchip-based password management solution that provides strong authentication for enterprises and government agencies. It is basically a SSO solution with many of the advantages of a password synchronization solution (PWS). Increasingly, single sign-on (SSO) solutions are being realigned with strong authentication. There is growing demand to consolidate credentials for identity management initiatives, even combining physical and logical access. Smart cards represent an ideal security platform for consolidating credentials and for supporting a growing array of security applications. MyLOK® securely stores and retrieves one’s credentials and supports auto population of those credentials to the requested fields. MyLOK® provides two-factor strong authentication, and it can provide three-factor strong authentication, if desired. It has a modular design and is highly extensible, enabling it to support the changing needs of individuals, small enterprises, or very large corporations. The smart cards or smart tokens can receive new software updates with relative ease. Convenience, ease-of-use, and security underscore the ii2P password management system. ii2P has designed the system to enable our customers with flexibility in its use, such that the MyLOK® system can be configured and implemented the way our customers wish. Once installed, the system is remarkably easy to use, while granting the end user the flexibility to store passwords, change them, retrieve them, and auto-populate their credentials to a chosen site (be that intranet, Internet or desktop applications systems). Windows Log-on – Many people use their PCs daily, and they may need to provide a password to their PC multiple times a day. Consequently, many users tend to use relatively easy passwords that can be typed quickly, but which to some degree compromise the security access. ii2P’s secure Windows log-on feature enables a user to secure his PC with a longer, harder-to-guess password and supplement that with a second factor of security (the microchip). Because the chip will remember very complex passwords and because the user will be more inclined to periodically change passwords, the security of the overall system is greatly strengthened.
