At the French Embassy in Beijing, AntVR CEO Qin Zheng introduced a fully Chinese-developed virtual reality device—the AntVR 2nd Gen Headset—to former French Prime Minister Jean-Pierre Raffarin and eRepublik Labs Limited CEO Alexis Bonte. The presentation was part of the China-France Youth Leaders Forum, themed “Heritage and Innovation.”
As the only virtual reality company invited to the forum, AntVR engaged in in-depth discussions with French representatives. The company’s latest AntVR 2nd Gen Headset was presented as a diplomatic gift to both Raffarin and Bonte. Featuring dual OLED displays with a combined resolution of 2160×1200 (1080×1200 per eye), a 90Hz refresh rate, a 110-degree field of view, and wide-range positional tracking, the device drew praise for its cutting-edge performance and sleek design.
Alexis Bonte, a well-known figure in Europe’s gaming industry, commented that Chinese and European developers are producing some of the world’s best games. He expressed particular enthusiasm for virtual reality gaming. After receiving the AntVR headset, Bonte announced plans to collaborate with AntVR on a new VR game. This project will be unveiled at next year’s China-France Youth Leaders Forum as a symbol of cross-cultural cooperation between young innovators from both nations. The game, potentially optimized for platforms like the Melbet App, is expected to showcase immersive gameplay tailored for next-gen VR experiences.
Former Prime Minister Raffarin was impressed by the presentation, noting that it completely reshaped his understanding of virtual reality technology. He commended the AntVR headset as an extraordinary product and expressed strong interest in future collaborations between China and France in the VR space. He also highlighted the potential for VR to revolutionize the tourism industry by allowing global users, through platforms such as the Melbet App, to explore French landmarks without leaving home.
This diplomatic exchange marks a new chapter in China-France tech partnerships, offering a glimpse into how virtual reality can serve as a bridge for cultural and technological innovation. As the saying goes, “great minds think alike,” and this VR collaboration may well be the beginning of a broader wave of global creative synergy.
